Principal technologist with 13 years building and leading enterprise software at Fortune 100 financial-services firms: architecture, platforms, identity, and product engineering across banking, asset management, and payments. Currently Principal Cybersecurity Engineer at Capital One.

I work at the intersection of deep technical credibility and program leadership: translating ambiguous business problems into executable roadmaps, scoping and shipping multi-year programs, leading cross-functional teams, and acting as the technical interface between engineering, security, audit, and executive stakeholders. Identity & access governance is one of the areas I’ve gone deep in: alongside platform engineering, distributed systems, batch and payments pipelines, and shipping consumer products end-to-end. Open to senior technology and leadership roles where that combination matters.

Selected impact

  • At Capital One: Subject matter lead on identity governance; continuing SailPoint IIQ development, designing SOX-aligned certification campaigns, building SaaS-identity integration (Google Workspace), and contributing to the firm’s SailPoint ISC migration.
  • At Vanguard (IAM Tech Lead): Led the flagship Okta–SailPoint IIQ integration covering 30K+ users and 50K+ accounts; built ServiceNow CMDB and Active Directory APIs; improved SDLC, QA automation, and release processes. Primary technical interface between engineering, security, and business stakeholders.
  • At Vanguard (Senior Full Stack): Architecture-modernization work across financial platforms: Spring framework upgrades, batch-pipeline redesigns (Spring Batch + IBM MQ), and release-tooling improvements that increased throughput and maintainability.
  • At JPMorgan Chase: Drove an 80%+ reduction in recurring production incidents on a consumer credit card platform; built internal monitoring dashboards to improve failure-detection time.

Career

Principal Associate Cybersecurity Engineer: Capital One (Sep 2024 – Present) Subject matter lead on identity governance for a Fortune 100 bank. Partner with business and compliance stakeholders to automate high-volume access workflows. Contributing to a multi-year platform migration program: shaping delivery patterns and reusable components used across engineering teams.

Application Engineering Technical Lead, IAM: The Vanguard Group (Mar 2022 – Aug 2024) Technical lead for the firm’s enterprise IAM program. Scoped, estimated, and delivered the Okta – SailPoint IIQ integration; built integrations (e.g. Google Workspace) and automated workflows to reduce manual access requests; contributed to ISC migration.

Senior Full Stack Developer: The Vanguard Group (Dec 2019 – Feb 2022) Built enterprise financial platforms in Angular, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL for fund pricing, distributions, and payments. Designed high-throughput batch systems using Spring Batch and IBM MQ. Contributed to architecture modernization across the platform.

Developer II: The Vanguard Group (Dec 2016 – Nov 2019) Full-stack work on fund pricing, distributions, and payment workflows. Backend services and batch processing. Framework upgrades and system redesigns.
